Raspberry Pi A+ gets an upgrade

It has not been quite the breaking news that we are used to with regards to Pi stuff but some days ago Fernell started selling an upgraded version of the Raspberry Pi A+.

A+_old and new

The new board comes with 512MB of RAM and doubles the offer compared to the previous version bringing it at the same level of its cousins Zero, B+ and compute module.

With the announcement from the foundation that also the Zero will come with a new “surprise” soon, the gap between the Zero and the A+ is gradually reducing to a point in which I am betting the two products might merge into one. But that’s only my gut feeling and I won’t except bets higher than £1 🙂

As I said the whole thing has gone very much under the radar but you can find some entertaining chats from the community at this link.
